Its crazy to think that seven years ago my  husband and I started photographing weddings together, and that this past weekend we shot our last and final wedding. Its bittersweet since we truly love documenting such special day for our clients- our friends…but at the same time I am ready to focus solely on portraiture. What a fabulous way to finish off the end of such a chapter in our lives by capturing a new chapter in the lives of Sarah and Jon. Not only are these guys totally awesome, but their friends and family are too. Having so many special people supporting them on this day made it magical to watch. The gardens where in full bloom, the weather held out the entire time we were outside shooting and the results are breathtaking. Enjoy!

Yesterday morning I met up with Matteo and his parents at Hamilton Park in Jersey City for his one year shoot. It seems like just yesterday I was doing maternity pictures for these guys, let alone his NEWBORN pictures!! Here’s a little snippet in to our time together, I’m loving the color combo Matteo’s mom picked out for their family portraits-very fun.

Yesterday afternoon I photographed Ryan and his little sister, Bella for the first time. I had so much fun meeting them and working with them. I really felt like it was Spring since so many flowers were in bloom and the grass was extra green after all the snow and rain we’ve been having. Between the cute kids and the pretty surroundings, I am loving these shots!

I had to share my latest album before I ship it off to my client…it’s handmade by a book binding company based out of los angeles called Cypress Albums. In my opinion, their products are the most beautiful, unique + artistic out there. However, since they are made by hand-they are also the most expensive…but its sooo worth it in the end. Every client that has opted to have a Cypress album made has been beyond thrilled with their decision once they get their hands on the albums (and I am always sad to let them go since they’re so pretty!).

The Cypress album shown is also available for regular portrait sessions. You can create an album from any portrait session we’ve done together. Last night I stumbled across a very fun clothing designer, TeenyBunny on Etsy. Her dresses for little girls are vintage inspired and like nothing I’ve ever seen before. The moment I saw the yellow dress (featured above) I felt the need to share some of her pieces with you. If you are considering booking a shoot this spring or summer, I really think one of these dresses would be amazing in pictures.

The dress (above) would look so sweet against an old white barn in the country –or at the Van Vleck house in the spring running through bright green grass. Even on the beach, with bare feet splashing in the water! If you want to make the dress look more casual, I think a pair of mid-calf black rubber boots would be adorable. The retro-style dresses (above) would work well in a city setting with yellow cabs in the background or on a simple cobblestone street in Hoboken. I’m so happy I found this designer and hopefully one of her dresses will help inspire you for your  little ones shoot!

Today I headed to the Westchester area to photograph this beautiful little boy. A lot has changed since Charlie’s last photo shoot…before he was just able to sit up-and now he is on the go! As a result we got lots of fun, spontaneous shots.

Today I met up with these guys at Allaire State Park in Wall, NJ. Its a great spot to take pictures an d the boys were a blast to work with.  The results are fantastic, here are a few from the day:
