Tonight I took some pictures of Leah and Mike for their one year anniversary. Here are some of my favorites images...
Colette and Mark's Wedding
Yesterday we shot the wedding of Mark and Colette in Morristown, NJ. The reception was at the Crystal Plaza in Livingston. The weather was gorgeous as were all of the details of the day. I've just finished downloading all of the images and had to put a couple up asap since I love so many of them. Here are a few that stuck out to me--Mark and Colette look absolutely beautiful in all of the pictures, I'm such a lucky photographer!
Lou and Scout
I've been dying to take pictures in a certain spot where I live. I finally convinced my brother and his girlfriend to be my models. Here are a few faves:
Big Hair
So I'm in the midst of re-designing my website with new pictures and stuff...and as I sift through all of my disks of images I came across these beauties. I *convinced* my girlfriends into teasing their hair nice and big and we went off into the North End in Boston to take pictures. Needless to say, people were staring. The ladies were totally not happy with my vision of big hair, which is surprising since the 3 of us are all from Jerz and are known for the love of a big teased hair-do.
Joe's Shoot
This Saturday I had the opportunity to meet an adorable *almost 2 year old* named Joe. He was totally excited to have his picture taken when I showed up, which made my job really easy and lots of fun. We started indoors with some editorial shots, then did an outfit change and headed outside to the yard to play and of course, to capture the great light.
Newborn Shoot
On Wednesday I headed up to Connecticut to shoot little Taylor. She's just few weeks old here, and absolutely adorable. Since she was so well behaved we were able to spend tons of time trying out different shooting scenarios. These are a few that I find extra special....
Emily at 7 months
On July 1st, I met DeAnne and Scott at the Rockefeller State Preserve just past Sleepy Hollow (Tarrytown), NY. I'd been there in the fall for a family photo shoot and loved the backdrop it provided for pictures. There is a pretty lake and a large open meadow, along with fun little wooded paths to work with. Although I did get a speeding ticket on my way to meet them (my first ever)...the trip was totally worth it. Here are some of my favorite shots from the day....
Central Park Engagement Shoot
This weekend we did a photo shoot in Central Park. Yes, it was very hot, humid and sticky. But you'd never know it from the look of our "models". We can't wait to see what their big day will bring in October.
G Fox Wedding
Greetings.br /So we shot a wedding last night in Hartford, CT for our friends Sara and Tim. It was at the G. Fox building in Hartford (great place--art deco, old Hollywood glam style). I'd been there before and after seeing the upstairs bar area, had decided I wanted to take advantage of the red velvet couches and luxurious surroundings. But this time I was prepared with a little additional strobe. I've been wanting to do a Marilyn Monroe-esque type o' picture of a bride sitting on a fun couch (they had lots of them) with the shoes peeping out underneath a big puffy dress. Well, wouldn't ya know it, we made it happen! Hope you love it as much as I do, Sara. Check back to my website next week and I should have a slideshow of the affair up.
Wake Robin Inn Wedding
We shot a wedding in Lakeville, Connecticut last weekend. It's a peaceful little town surrounded by farms, fields, rivers and lakes. Our couple, Dava and Damian who are from New York were so inspired by a Maine wedding they had attended in the past, that they decided to throw a "destination" wedding...sort of like a weekend getaway where they could celebrate with their closest friends and family. The event took place at the Wake Robin Inn, a majestic site for an outdoor wedding. Everything was spectacular, including the vegetable ravioli!
Housatonic River Folk
This weekend we celebrated Father's Day and did a photo shoot for my brother-in-law's family. Here are a few pictures of them having fun in front of the camera.
The Cabin
Here are some pictures from our weekend in New York State....there was a fun 70's hat and flowery field. I was all over it. So were the girls.
Jackson Hole Wedding
A special "thank you" to Anne and Joe for flying us out to Jackson, WY fort their wedding. Currently living in Boston, the couple chose a destination wedding that was close to Anne's hometown of Idaho Falls. The ceremony took place in a small chapel in downtown Jackson with the reception at the Four Seasons Hotel, just at the base of the mountain. The rain held up until it was time to head over to the reception site, (which was picture time too)...but Anne and Joe decided, rain or shine we were taking outdoor pictures to capture the beauty all around us. I think our positive vibes payed off because just as we got to the "picture destination" it stopped raining! It was a quite, calming experience...just Anne and Joe, us, and Anne's parents. I don't think it could have been more perfect.
Spring Portrait Day
Spring Portrait Day proved to be a total success thanks to a beautiful day. I am still sore from shooting 10 families in 10 hours--straight! I want to give a big "thank you" to everyone who showed up and made the day so special. Here are a collection of my favorite images from the day.
The Sunset Shoot at Edgerton Park
The final time slot for portrait day had spectacular light and the girls did a perfect job working it for the camera!
