LBI Portrait Day 2.
Ryan: a little super hero with a big personality. To say we had fun during this shoot is an understatement. Ryan came running right up to me (cape flowing behind him), and gave me an amazing welcome. The last time I saw him was 3 years ago- for his newborn shoot. So seeing him for this session was kind of a big deal, plus I photographed his parents wedding a few years back. I'm so excited to share this preview with you. It was a magical night!

Behold! The first shoot from the LBI family beach portrait sessions.

Yesterday I met up with Mason for his very first portrait session. It was great seeing his family again...I shot his parents

We dusted off our weddin' shootin' attire and documented our friends nuptials this weekend. Don't get excited people, this was a one time "come out of retirement" situation. Totally worth it and totally fun. The ceremony and reception took place at the Boston Museum of Science, which sits along the Charles River. Enjoy the preview!

Saturday morning I had the pleasure of meeting Ridley and taking his pictures. Such a happy, little fella. Exploring the park, toddling around and smiling up a storm. Loving these!

This weekend I met up with Zoe for her 1 year portraits. Gorgeous morning, gorgeous girl, gorgeous garden. Beyond thrilled with our outcome. Enjoy!

Yesterday evening I met up with Chase and his family for his 1 year portraits. We had tried this a few weeks earlier, but it was crazy windy at the beach so we had to cancel. And yesterday, as I pulled in to the parking lot of the beach, guess what? It started to rain. What are the odds?! Luckily, it was a fast moving rain storm and once the clouds parted, we had a gorgeous evening. We even had a rainbow! In the end, it was well worth the wait.

My last shoot of the day was with Alexander and his parents. The special thing about this shoot, was that I photographed his parents wedding 7 years ago. Catching up, meeting their baby boy and talking about life was really a wonderful way to finish off the Connecticut spring portrait day. Its always an honor when I get to document these special milestone. Thanks for the fun, guys!!

My second shoot from yesterday's Connecticut spring portrait day was with Brielle. She was so excited to have her picture taken (yay!) and loved exploring the gardens and flowers. Here's a sneak peak of our time together....

Today was my Connecticut spring portrait day in Stamford, CT. What a gorgeous morning we had! My first shoot was with these two adorable twins. Its crazy to think an entire year and a half has gone by since our last shoot...so many changes have taken place. Between their personalities, smiles and toddling- I was in picture taking heaven!

Tonight I met up with Alex and his little sister, Audrey for some spring portraits. We had a gorgeous evening- filled with dreamy light. We managed to explore the entire arboretum and got so many killer portraits. Here are a few of my favorites...

Since my shoot today was cancelled due to bad weather, I had to do something with my camera. It happened to be sunny back at my place (go figure) so I opted to take my daughter down to the local arboretum for a few shots. Enjoy!

Today was the first time EVER that I had to pull the plug on a shoot after it began. I met with Chase and his family for his 1 year portraits at Sandy Hook beach with big plans of balloons, sand, ocean, and lots of fun. But the wind was crazy and it started to rain, so sadly we had to stop. I did manage to get this cute shot. I couldn't resist sharing. Stay tuned for pictures of this little guy in a few weeks. Happy birthday, Chase!
Today I met Miles and his parents for a portrait session at the park. Shooting in Manhattan in the spring is a favorite of mine...its not too hot, the flowers are in bloom and there's just something really special about the entire vibe. Since we met early in the day, the park was pretty quite and we were able to take full advantage of our surroundings. Capturing this little guy play and explore was great fun- hopefully you can tell from the pictures!

We headed to Branch Brook Park, in Newark NJ the weekend of the cherry blossom festival. My intention was to photograph my daughter for her second year birthday portraits at this park. I figured it would be a nice way to celebrate the season she was born in, plus pink happens to be her favorite color. So we packed up and headed out at sunset (a very bad time in our house considering we have a 2 year old and a 6 month old). But we went anyway because I'm a photographer and I needed to get the best shot. Scarlett was a difficult subject to say the least. I was sweating and bribing her with everything I had. In the end, the bubbles kept her mildly entertained and I was able to capture a few shots I love. But when I got home and looked at them all, I though she just looked "off." Turns out she was on the brink of a very bad cold. So all I see when I look at her face is a sick little girl. But still, the lighting- the dress- the trees- are too breathtaking. I'm compelled to share! Hope you enjoy this little snippet in to my original idea for her "second birthday portraits."

Yes, its that time of year again! My daughter turns 2 today...what?!? Yes. Its true. Shocking, yet true. The past few months have been a blast now that she talks up a storm (the facial expressions during her stories KILL me every time). What a fun, crazy (tiring) and entertaining experience this thing they call motherhood is. Happy birthday my precious baby girl!

Today I met up with baby girl, Charlie. A whole year has passed since we saw each other, and what a personality this little lady has! We chose to do the shoot at Branch Brook Park since the cherry blossoms are finally in bloom. What better than to celebrate her birthday while capturing the seasons blossoms, right? So happy with the outcome!

This weekend I met up with these two cutie pies. It was great to see the family again, and to meet the newest addition. Watching the brothers interact and play together was adorable, there's nothing like sibling love!

This weekend I photographed Sophia, the newest member of her family. Watching the interaction between the siblings was beautiful and I believe we captured the spirit of the day. Hope you enjoy!
