I like to try out new things when I am shooting communion portraits. I grew up during the time when there was only one “look” to a communion portrait. But who says thats the way it has to be? Normally the communion shoots happen in the spring but for this lucky lady we did the pictures in August (this was 2020, so you know). By the time August hit, the wild flowers were popping and I just new I wanted to capture something during the golden hour in such a setting.
