This weekend I met up with one of my favorite families for their annual portraits. Love spending time with these guys, and I was so touched that they were willing to drive to ME this year since I'm pretty pregnant and a trip to Connecticut would be a tad much. As always I'm loving their session and all of the wonderful memories we captured. Hope you enjoy my blog selections!
This past week I met up with Zoe and her parents for a summer fun shoot at Frelinghysen Arboretum. The grounds were in full bloom and Zoe was a gorgeous subject to photograph. Here are just a few of my favorites from our time together....
I believe my favorite type of shoot to do is an outdoor spring shoot at sunset. Last night was totally magical, the light was so amazing, and the colors of the grass made everything that much better. I had a blast catching up with these guys, the last time I saw them, their son was just a couple years old...and now he's so tall and has a little sister! Overall, I will say last night was definitely one to remember. Hope you love the pictures as much as I do!
Over the summer I met with Reese and her parents for her 1 year shoot. Its crazy to think a full year has gone by already. Being able to capture her as she walked around and explored the arboretum was priceless. She's such a cutie pie. I couldn't resist posting these shots of her on the Adirondack chairs and the one of her with her parents swinging her. Truly adorable!
This past weekend I met up with some friends for a family shoot at Bartlett Arboretum in Stamford, CT. The shoot was a gift for mother's day, but we opted to wait until the summer was over and things were less hectic to schedule the session. The day was perfect, the grounds were in full bloom and I'm so happy with our outcome. Its a true celebration of family and fun!
This morning I met up with Lilly and her mom for a little shoot in the garden. She's going to be 8 months old in a few weeks and her mom wanted to snap some portraits of her before she gets any bigger. We had lots of fun together--she is such a smiler! Enjoy the sneak peak....
Here is the last photo shoot from my Connecticut Spring Portrait Day...I am loving how these images turned out! I had so much fun working with this new family, the girls were awesome in front of the camera and we were really able to work the entire arboretum. Luckily, moments after we finished the shoot up, the rain began...but not until we got plenty of awesome pictures. Enjoy!
Yesterday afternoon I met up with Juliana and her parents. I was super excited to see these guys, I started photographing Juliana when she was a newborn and we hadn't seen each other in about 2 years. Even after 2 years, not much has changed...Juliana still totally works it for the camera. Can you stand how beautiful her eyes are?! I'm in love.....
My second shoot yesterday was with Athan, Hayden and their parents. Its crazy to think that I have been photographing this family since Athan was only 2 years old! Time flies, and its such an honor to be their family historian. We had a great time catching up on all that's gone on this past year...a move, a new school year...favorite ice cream flavors, and the list goes on. This afternoon I met up with Cecilia for her 6th month photo shoot at the Carl Schurz Park on the upper east side (such a great spot). The last time I saw Cecilia, she was only a few weeks old...so seeing her again was so much fun. She's gotten so big, sitting up and smiling with dimples. We were worried she would be cranky since she missed her nap today, but I think her first experience with grass was just way too exciting. She couldn't resist laughing and being happy!
Yesterday afternoon I photographed Ryan and his little sister, Bella for the first time. I had so much fun meeting them and working with them. I really felt like it was Spring since so many flowers were in bloom and the grass was extra green after all the snow and rain we've been having. Between the cute kids and the pretty surroundings, I am loving these shots!
Today I met up with Isla and her family for her 1 year photo shoot. I can't believe that it was almost a full year ago that we were taking her newborn photos...oh how time flies! We opted to brave the cold weather and headed outside for our shoot at the Bartlett Arboretum, but after a few minutes, the shivering was a bit much. Luckily, Isla's dad had a FABULOUS idea--to warm up in the greenhouse. Greenhouses may be my new favorite spot for photo shoots now! Here's are some pictures from our time together....
Yesterday I met up with Emme and her parents at the Bartlett Arboretum in Stamford, CT. Its an awesome place to visit, and to photograph at. Yesterday afternoon I met up with Avery and her family at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. The weather was perfect and I loved all of the outfits Avery had to wear. Six month shoots are one of my favorites since we can dress the babies up and they can usually sit up on their own (but they can't move yet)! They're like little dolls for us to play with :)

Yesterday I met up with Taylor at The Waveny in New Canaan (a hot spot for me these days). Its amazing to see how much she's grown and changed since our last shoot together-Taylor wasn't even crawling before, and now she's running around! We had a blast, here are some shots...
