Connecticut family portraits
This morning I met up with Reese and her parents for her sixth month shoot. OMG is all I can say about her adorable doll face and chubby body. To say I was in heaven while photographing her is an understatement. I can't even deal with the cuteness--prepare yourself....
Today I headed to Stamford, CT to meet with Jack for his 6th month shoot. He's gotten soooo big since the newborn shoot, I couldn't stop staring at his adorable cheeks (with dimples) and chubby thighs! Here's a little sneak peak....
Its so nice when I get to do a winter shoot outside because I love the soft light that comes at this time of year. Since yesterday was relatively mild we opted to do an outdoor shoot at Waveny Park. It was a magical afternoon and I'm loving the natural feel to these pictures. Enjoy!
Here is my most recent photo shoot with one of my oldest and dearest clients....we've been working together since their son was only a few months old. Our shoot took place at The Waveny House in New Canaan, CT . Since I have shot them here before, we decided to take a different approach to the surroundings. After arriving at the location, I noticed the meadow in the distance was really starting to turn with autumn colors which popped great against everyone's outfits...so it was the perfect setting for something new at an old spot. I'm loving the results. Enjoy!
This past weekend I headed to Greenwich, CT for a family portrait session. We decided to split the shoot up by doing 75% outdoors in the yard, and the remaining 25% in the home. Our shoot was a success, and really easy to do (people over the age of 3 are so much better at taking direction!). Enjoy the sneak peak....
Here is the last photo shoot from my Connecticut Spring Portrait Day...I am loving how these images turned out! I had so much fun working with this new family, the girls were awesome in front of the camera and we were really able to work the entire arboretum. Luckily, moments after we finished the shoot up, the rain began...but not until we got plenty of awesome pictures. Enjoy!
My second shoot yesterday was with Athan, Hayden and their parents. Its crazy to think that I have been photographing this family since Athan was only 2 years old! Time flies, and its such an honor to be their family historian. We had a great time catching up on all that's gone on this past year...a move, a new school year...favorite ice cream flavors, and the list goes on. Yesterday was my Connecticut Family Portrait day in Stamford, CT. We were so lucky to have had a break from all of this dreary weather....the entire day was absolutely spectacular. My first shoot of the the morning was with Olivia and her parents. She had lots of adorable outfits and lots of adorable smiles, the perfect combo for a successful portrait session!
Today I met up with Isla and her family for her 1 year photo shoot. I can't believe that it was almost a full year ago that we were taking her newborn photos...oh how time flies! We opted to brave the cold weather and headed outside for our shoot at the Bartlett Arboretum, but after a few minutes, the shivering was a bit much. Luckily, Isla's dad had a FABULOUS idea--to warm up in the greenhouse. Greenhouses may be my new favorite spot for photo shoots now! Here's are some pictures from our time together....
Here is a shoot I recently did with Kalib-who was visiting his family and friends in Connecticut. He's actually a Rocky Mountain baby, and the son of my good friends- Jonas and Beth. I was so happy to meet their beautiful little baby boy and to snap some photos of him.
This morning I met up with some old friends at the Nature Center in Stamford. I've been shooting this little guy since he was just a few months old-and now he's an independent and very energetic 3 1/2 year old! On Saturday I headed up to Connecticut to shoot this beautiful family. We started off at a funky old seed barn, with the intention of blending weathered old backgrounds with formal holiday dresses (very fun). After that, we all headed back to their house and the girls changed into some casual clothes so we could play in the leaves freely. Its funny to see the difference an outfit makes in the girls attitude once they put on the relaxed outfits....I love it!
Yesterday I headed up to Stamford for a family photo shoot. I'd never been to this hidden gem (The Nature Center)-let me tell you, its an awesome place to take pictures at! We had so many beautiful backdrops to work with, and my family was so fantastic to work with. That combination resulted in tons of fun shots-here are some of them....

Last Saturday I met an old friend at my mother-in-law's home in Connecticut for a photo shoot. They were coming all the way from New Hampshire-so it was a good middle point for us (plus I love the house and yard for shooting).
