Here is my final shoot from the Sparta portrait sessions. It was with a dear friend and their newest addition, Milo. OMG this was my first time meeting him, and I was in love. Such a happy little guy, even in the chilly weather. So glad I got to meet him and photograph his adorable face!
Yesterday I got to see our good friends who were visiting from Colorado. Its been quite a while since we've seen them and it was so wonderful to get our families together. Here is a little shoot I did with them at Southford Falls in CT.
Yesterday afternoon I met up with Erin and Molly for their annual portraits...I love working with these two little ladies. The results are always amazing and they totally brought their "A game" for this shoot. Bottom line is that I'm sorta obsessed :)
I rarely blog an entire shoot in black and white, but something inspired me to go this route for these images. There's something so classic about the overall feel I get when I look at the pictures and I was just curious to see how it would look presented monochromatically. I think I'm in love...plus it doesn't hurt to have an adorable group of kids to photograph!
Here is my first photo shoot from yesterday morning, back at the arboretum. Luckily for us, the vivid colors overshadowed the gloomy clouds in the sky. These two kids were so sweet and super adorable to work with, I think the pictures really show their personalities and love they have for each other.
I met up with Andrew this week for his 1 year portraits. Its crazy to think that a year ago I was photographing him as a little bitty newborn baby. Time truly does fly by, and now he's cruisin' all over the place. What a great progression to document!

Here is the second family I photographed at my Connecticut Fall Portrait Day. I've been working with this family since their oldest was just a baby and its been awesome watching them grow and their personalities emerge. These two camera loving ladies are right up my ally -- they came with a big bag of accesories and a slew of poses. Here's just one "look" from their shoot. This past Saturday was my Connecticut Fall Portrait Day, and boy did I luck out with the best fall day EVER! The autumn colors were vibrant, the sky was blue and the temperature was perfect. Here is my first family from the day, I believe we kicked it off right with this super beautiful family.
This morning I met up with Jackson for his 1 year photoshoot. Can you even handle the fact that he threw down a number one finger sign?! I can't believe a whole year has gone by already. He's such a happy little guy -- and he's walking. We had a great time checking out The Waveny, playing in the grass and climbing trees. Overall I'd say it was a great day!
This weekend we headed up to Rhode Island to ring in 2012 with our good friends. Since Sunday was such a nice day, we decided to go outside and take some family photos. What perfect timing since their baby boy just turned 1!
Today I met up with Charlie Keene and his parents at Allaire State Park for an outdoor session. We lucked out with some really pretty light and mild temperatures...60 degrees in December! We had a great time exploring the park and we finished off with a giant birthday cupcake. I'm in love.
Yesterday afternoon I headed outside for a holiday portrait session with Lexi and Brielle. We had such a gorgeous afternoon- and the colorful leaves added the right touch of autumn fun. Enjoy the preview!
Here is my most recent photo shoot with one of my oldest and dearest clients....we've been working together since their son was only a few months old. Our shoot took place at The Waveny House in New Canaan, CT . Since I have shot them here before, we decided to take a different approach to the surroundings. After arriving at the location, I noticed the meadow in the distance was really starting to turn with autumn colors which popped great against everyone's outfits...so it was the perfect setting for something new at an old spot. I'm loving the results. Enjoy!
I'm so thrilled that the weather has been so fantastic this month....and here is a prime example of why! The light was so gorgeous yesterday afternoon when I met up with Karin and Dean with their 3 handsome little boys. The outfits Karin chose for everyone really capture the rustic outdoor spot we picked to shoot in, and I am so happy with our results. Enjoy the peak in to their portrait session....
This past weekend I met up with my old high school friends for an outdoor holiday shoot. We used Kittatinny Valley State Park as our location. It was the perfect backdrop, even though most of the leaves were down, the natural neutral tones surrounding us made everyone's outfits pop. Ava and Kristian totally worked it for the camera--they had so much fun that later on their mom told me that she overheard them playing "Meredith" with a fake photo shoot of their own. What an honor!
Today I met up with these guys at Allaire State Park in Wall, NJ. Its a great spot to take pictures an d the boys were a blast to work with. The results are fantastic, here are a few from the day:
