Such a fun shoot with this little doll yesterday. The happiness I see when I look at these pictures lets me know it was such a great memory in the making. The idea was to capture this family of 3 one more time, before becoming a family of 4 very soon. How special!

This morning I met up with some old friends who are expecting their second baby. It was so good to see them, to see how much their son has grown since his 1 year shoot and to witness "the bump" before the new little one arrives. We couldn't have asked for a better spring day! I met up with two beautiful "parents-to-be" on Tuesday in Hoboken. We were so lucky to schedule the shoot when we did, because shortly after we finished, the rain began to come down. I had so much fun getting to know them, they truly are a fun couple. I think it shows through in their portraits--their happiness jumps right out you and I love it.

I love maternity shoots that are outdoors and yesterday's session really got me inspired. Not only did I get to work with a beautiful mamma-to-be, but her adorable twins and awesome husband. The tones of nature play so well off of their outfit choices, resulting in happiness for my eyes to see!

The other day I met up with my girlfriend who's due on Tuesday (can you believe it?!). I packed my camera with me, thinking if she was feeling up to it- I'd love to snap a picture of her belly before the baby arrives. I was so happy that she was totally down with the idea, so before I left, we gathered our little ones and I snapped this shot of her in her front yard. It was bitterly cold out, my baby girl was strapped to the front of me the ergobaby (her head kept blocking my lens!). This mamma-to-be's son was running around the yard like a little wild indian. We may not have gotten a perfect shot of her with her son, AND the bump...but we did capture this special picture. You'd never know the chaos that was going on behind the scenes! Love the wintery light shining down on her.

Very early this morning I met up with a super cute pregnant couple for their maternity shoot in Hoboken. The sunrise was so beautiful-- I couldn't have asked for better light. We were able to work lots of different locations and as a result, we have pure magic. Can't wait to meet their little bundle of joy soon!

This afternoon I met up with a friend to photograph the pregnancy of her second baby, a little girl due next month. It was great to catch up and to talk all about what's been going on in our lives. We had a great shoot, despite the chilly, slightly raw feel to the air. I'm loving the results, hope you do too!

This past weekend I met up with an awesome couple in Hoboken for their maternity shoot. Since the weather has been unseasonably warm, we were able to do a mixture of inside and outside shooting. This afternoon I met up with Tiffany and Matt for their maternity shoot. Tiffany won my "facebook biggest fan" contest a few months back, so she was given a free photo shoot (it pays to be my biggest fan!). They are due at the end of July - I was super excited to see these guys again. It seems like just yesterday we were shooting their 10/10/10 wedding at St. Clements Castle. Today I had the opportunity to photograph a super creative and fun couple for maternity photos. They are both musicians and were looking for something unique and different for their portraits, so we chose the Van Vleck gardens for the shoot. I figured, with all this rain we've been getting...the flowers must be blooming and the grass has got to be bright green. We were not disappointed at all by the grounds, and we lucked out because for the duration of our shoot, the sun was shining and the light was spectacular. As a result, I'm excited with our results. This morning I headed to Jersey City for an outdoor maternity photo shoot at Hamilton Park with Liisa and Josh. They were so much fun to work with (pretty obvious from their pictures!). The other day I headed to Hoboken for a maternity shoot. The shoot was scheduled at 8AM, just as the sun was beginning to peak through the Manhattan skyline-it really was beautiful. I was so excited when I saw Jill and Rob walk over to me, they looked like they had just stepped out of a j crew catalog and their colors worked perfectly with our autumn surroundings. Yesterday afternoon I met up with Amanda for a maternity shoot in her favorite park-Central Park! She's due in about a month and had such a perfect little bump to photograph. We wanted the pictures to reflect the time of year, and being that she is due in the fall- we played around with the vibrant leaves which were all around us. Stay tuned to see her baby next month when we do the newborn session!
I didn't even realize this at the time....but the big tree that Amanda is leaning against (above, right image) looks like the shape of a belly bump! What a fun find.

This past Saturday I had the opportunity to photograph Juliana and her beautiful family. After seeing a photo of Juliana and her features, I was inspired to do something goddess-like. We went for a bunch of different looks, natural bedroom shots, urban landscape portraits, and garden-park stuff. Today's maternity shoot took place in Hoboken, NJ. We started off indoors and then met up with Alison's husband for some outdoor portraits involving the both parent's-to-be. Kerry Crawford did the makeup...always a great addition to a photo shoot. I'm loving the soft, natural makeup. It went perfectly with the overall feel of the day.....
