New Jersey Family Photographer | Leo's first shoot

Todays shoot was in celebration of Leo. He just turned 9 months old and we wanted to capture him in all his glory. I felt it was appropriate to kick the blog feature off with this particular image of him crawling.

Why?

Not because its necessarily a "framer" but because it really does capture who he is. This is his current milestone in life. He's a mover and a shaker.

And these little moments are really what its all about.

To kick off being back to work, I got to photograph 2 of my favorite little people at one of my favorite spring time locations- Branch Brook Park. The park has one of the best displays of cherry blossom in the tri-state. Can't believe these 2 are getting so big. Where has the time gone?!

Such a fun shoot with this little doll yesterday. The happiness I see when I look at these pictures lets me know it was such a great memory in the making. The idea was to capture this family of 3 one more time, before becoming a family of 4 very soon. How special!

Yesterday was my final portrait day before I have this baby of mine! We were blessed with a gorgeous day- thankfully. I'm so happy I was able to squeeze a few more folks in for their annual holiday pictures- I just love seeing how much everyone has grown over the years. My first shoot was with these 3 guys, and boy have they gotten big since our last session! Enjoy!

Yesterday I collaborated with my talented artist friend and owner of Catherine Kiff-Vozza Couture Stationary for their annual holiday portraits. We opted to go in a different direction this year, choosing a studio backdrop setting with a New Years vibe. As always the kids worked it. Enjoy the inspiration.....

This weekend I met up with Andrew and Peter for their annual portraits. I'm so happy I was able to squeeze these guys in before I go on maternity leave. They were so much fun to photograph, such excitement as they ran and explored the outdoors. We manage to capture some wonderful memories!

So happy we were able to return to one of my favorite locations to shoot at in August- Kittatinny State Park. The flowers are on their way out, so I was glad to capture their beauty one last time. It was an extra special shoot because it was with an old high school friend, her husband and dog. We had a blast catching up, laughing and snapping great pictures. Enjoy!

Last night I met up with a family I've been shooting for 9 years! We've become great friends and its been such an honor watching their kids grow. Hopefully it was worth the 2 hour trip down (and back). I know I'm loving these shots!

The flowers are in full bloom at my favorite garden, and last night the shoot was picture perfect. I had so much fun working with this family, and I am pretty sure we made some great memories...

New Jersey Family Photographer | sunflower shoot

Last night we (I) needed to get out of the house, and a road trip to check out sunflowers was the perfect outing. Also a great backdrop for some much needed pictures of my son. I'm always taking pictures of my daughter and I've noticed I don't have nearly as many shots of him...so that was one of the reasons for taking the camera. Lucky for us, the sun was just right (back lit on the sunflowers) and it wasn't too hot or humid. We stayed at the field for a grand total of 15 minutes and I love every picture that was taken. I figured it might inspire someone to take their family or children's portraits one year at a sunflower field. Next up, we're hitting another cool place up that is in full bloom with Queen Anne's Lace. I'll be sure to post some pictures from that too. Enjoy!

New Jersey Family Photographer | maternity leave message

I'm officially announcing the news that we're adding a third addition to our family this fall! Our baby girl is due at the end of October and with that I must plan my schedule for the next 2 months.

August/September weekend schedule as follows (all local to morris county/sussex county NJ):

Saturday August 1: wildflower field/lake setting (late afternoon/sunset)

Saturday August 8: english garden setting with meadow (late afternoon/sunset)

Saturday August 15: rustic park setting with field (late afternoon/sunset)

Saturday August 22: wildflower fields/lake setting (late afternoon/sunset)

Saturday Sept 12:wildflower fields/lake setting (late afternoon/sunset)

As always, I will be working 2 weekdays each week in conjunction to the weekend shoots. Weekday shoots can take place at your home (local only) or local outdoor location of your choice. To reserve a spot for 2015 and get your holiday portraits done- please contact me as soon as possible. Space is very limited!

LBI Family Photographer | birthday gift

My last shoot from the LBI beach portraits couldn't have been better- or more special. This session was a birthday gift for their mom. A celebration of who she is as a person and the beautiful family she calls her own. I'm pretty sure some great memories were made, in between the laughter and smiles. Enjoy!

What a gorgeous night we had for this beach shoot. The warm evening sun transformed the sky in to a soft pastel canvas by the time we finished playing in the sand, and dipping our toes in the water. Truly magical!

My second shoot while in LBI was with my good friends and their family. We chose to switch it up this year, and headed to the light house for a change of scenery. As always, we had a wonderful time capturing great moments and memories!

LBI family photographer | summer vacation

The first day we arrived to LBI, we headed to the beach. My kids haven't been to the ocean since last summer, and my son definitely didn't remember being here last year. Watching the excitement they had at first sight was such a fun gift. And I'm so glad I brought the camera with me- because I captured some of my favorite pictures of them! Happy to share my little cherubs with all of you!
