Clothing Inspirations for your Photoshoot

In my opinion there are 3 ingredients needed to make a photoshoot a complete success: * A good photographer (perhaps that is me?) * A great spot for pictures (and great lighting) * The right outfit

So here is a list of some websites that I think offer unique and fun clothes for shoots:

1. Clothing designer: Kate Mack - google her and you'll find a bunch of websites that sell her dresses and cute tu-tu bathing suites. You can even find used clothing on ebay for much less!

2. Online clothing boutique with whimsical & trendy baby and children's clothing:

3. Etsy: All things homemade: if you're looking for inexpensive fairy outfits or one of a kind dresses, knitwear, baby apparel-this is the place! I buy lots of  my props from this site. If I could, I'd buy waaay more!

New Jersey Newborn Photographer | Twin Newborns

Yesterday I shot newborn twin girls named Teaghan and Isabella. They're just 3 weeks old and so cute, the shoot was so much fun to do. I can't even handle how adorable their pictures came out!

New Jersey Children’s Photographer | Erin & Molly

This morning I met up with Erin and Molly at the Van Vleck House in Montclair, NJ to take pictures. The morning light was really beautiful, and so was the temperature. Our shoot was a complete success! Here are some of my favorite shots:

Connecticut Newborn Photographer | Emerson Grace

Today I headed to Stamford, CT to shoot this beautiful 8 day old baby girl. Her home had so many wonderful rooms to shoot portraits in, which made my job lots of fun. I am so happy with the way all the pictures turned out-she looks like a sleeping baby super model!

Vivique Shoot

Last week I had the opportunity to work on a new clothing line  - Vivique (www.viviqueapparel.com).  They have designed the clothes to fit women before, during and after pregnancy. The best part of the bottoms is that there is no annoying belly band at the top of the pants. They actually look like normal pants, which expand and contract as you do. So amazing!  This way you can wear them as you grow, and after the baby arrives, they still will fit you as you slim back down. Their line should be available online and in stores this fall. In the meantime, here are some of the pictures I shot for their marketing campaign:

The shoot consisted of 2 pregnant models and 1 non-pregnant mode, showcasing how the exact outfits looked on both body types!

Summer Fun Engagement Shoot

This morning I met up with Meaghan and Tom for their engagement shoot at the beach. We had so much fun together, I really am excited to shoot their New Year's Eve wedding later this year! Talk about a difference in seasons--summer engagement shots, winter wedding shots. Oh the fun!

New Jersey Pregnancy photographer | Martha's Vineyard water shoot

While I was on vacation a few week ago, I had the opportunity to photograph a good friend of mine (who was on vacation with me in the Vineyard!). She is due in September and we wanted to something unique for her pregnancy pictures. The water just seemed like the perfect inspiration - natural and beautiful. We headed out very early in the morning before the beaches got packed with tourists and took full advantage of what the island had to offer. Fun, right?

NYC Roof Top & Times Square Engagement Shoot

Last night (yes, on one of the  hottest nights of the summer!) I  headed in to NYC with Jamie and George, a newly engaged couple. Since George is a city guy at heart, we thought it would be fun to take their engagement pictures there...whats better than being in the place you love with the person you love most?? Anyway, even though it was very warm and sticky, these guys made the entire experience look cool and comfortable. Here are some special shots from the affair;

This past Friday I met up with some friends to do a sister shoot. They had both just gotten their trial makeup done by my favorite makeup artist, Kerry Crawford (http://www.kerrydering.com/) for Bridget's upcoming wedding. Of course, they both looked gorgeous so I was super excited to take their picture! Here are some shots that stood out the most to me:

Cousin Shoot

Before we left for vacation we did a "cousin shoot" with all of the girls on my mom's side of the family. Our one cousin was visiting from Alaska so I decided it would be the perfect time to all get together and take a shot of us girls. I normally don't post anything that contains myself, but I had to make an exception on this because the pictures are so fun. I wanted the feel to be different from a traditional family photo-more fashion-y. Plus, what a good excuse to get all dolled up, right? The shoot took place at the Madison Train Station in Madison, NJ. Its a really fun place for pictures...here are some favorites--can you believe the age span between us is almost a full 20 years?

LBI Wedding

Last Wednesday I headed down to LBI for an intimate beach wedding. Unfortunately, the rain forced the ceremony to be indoors-but the results of the entire affair were still spectacular. I'm so happy I was able to convince the newlyweds to do their pictures on the beach, even though it was drizzling a bit. The ceremony and reception took place at Daddy O's Boutique Hotel. The softness from the misty weather was just too pretty to pass up. Here are some favorites....

New Jersey Newborn Photographer | Bro's

Today I visited Ethan and Benjamin at their home in Hamilton, NJ. Its already their sixth month shoot-I can't get over how big these guys are getting!! We started out in their nursery for some bedroom shots, then headed to the park for some outdoor portraits. As usual, these guys gave good face!
