I'd first like to thank you all for an awesome 2012 fall portrait season, it was so great seeing you and meeting new folks. Now, as some of you know, I had a baby girl last April. Being a mom has been an amazing journey so far, and coming back to work in September was a wonderful, creative outlet for me. The 2012 fall season was jam packed with lots of shoots and having had no previous experience of juggling a new baby and running a full time photography business, I realized it was too much for 1 person to handle. As a result, I've had to rethink my portrait schedule. With that said, my 2013 shooting schedule will consist of 6 shoots per month (no more than that, no exceptions--sorry!). Shoots will take place in 1 designated location 2 Saturdays per month (rain dates will be Sunday). I will shoot 3 families per saturday at the designated location. If you have already purchased a Watch Me Grow package, I highly suggest you contact me as soon as possible to get on my schedule. This will go in to effect in March 2013. Also, if you purchased a gift certificate, please contact me right away to be sure you can get in on a saturday session. Since newborn shoots are so time consuming and take place in your home, they can't be done on Saturdays. Newborn shoots will only take place on a week day, and I plan on accepting a very minimal number of newborn shoots per year.
This is a temporary schedule change, not permanent by any means. When I am ready to take on more, I will let you all know. My main concern is being sure I can give 100% of myself to you and your family without compromising my creative process. I plan on continuing with my Connecticut Spring/Fall Portrait days as well!
....and finally, here is a recent photo of my baby girl. This was one of the photos taken for her holiday card, as you can imagine she had many "looks" for the shoot.

Happy 2013!
I kicked of 2013 with a newborn shoot, which is an awesome way to start the year. It was with beautiful Isabel and her parents. She was so easy to work with and I'm loving looking at her little face!

I get so excited when I get to photograph twins...there is nothing better than shooting a beautiful baby, so when you have two, its double amazing. I had so much fun with these precious angels, they're such sweet little beings!

Yesterday afternoon I met up with these lovely ladies for their annual portraits. I'm loving the black and white vibe going on, between the outfits and the surrounds. Super fun!

Very early this morning I met up with a super cute pregnant couple for their maternity shoot in Hoboken. The sunrise was so beautiful-- I couldn't have asked for better light. We were able to work lots of different locations and as a result, we have pure magic. Can't wait to meet their little bundle of joy soon!

Yesterday I got to see our good friends who were visiting from Colorado. Its been quite a while since we've seen them and it was so wonderful to get our families together. Here is a little shoot I did with them at Southford Falls in CT.

Early this morning I met up with Everett and his parents for his annual portraits. I can't believe he's already two...its still feels like yesterday when we were taking his newborn pictures. I love everything about this guy, from his contagious smile to his crazy cute bow tie!
I met up with these two handsome fellas at Fort Tyrone for their holiday pictures earlier this week. I love working with them because they're so much fun (coming up with posing ideas and spots to take pictures...can ya stand it?!). The end result meant tons of great choices to pick from...hope you like my selections for the blog!

Yesterday I met up with 10 day old Jack for his very first photo shoot. He's such an easy little fella with beautiful eyes. How can you not fall in love?

This morning I met up with these 2 adorable little ladies for their holiday pictures. We started with some hang time inside and then finished up with some wintery fun in their neighborhood. I can't decide what I like better, the inside shots or the outside shots. Decisions, decisions!

Today I met up with Brielle for her very first photo shoot. She's just a day over 3 weeks now, and what a precious little angel. Right off the bat she was giving me good face and I fell in love immediately. Even her pet sister Betsy was working it for the camera.

Last weekend I met up with an old high school friend. She wanted to to a portrait session with her entire family. Its so hard to get everyone together because we all have busy lives, but its so worth it in the end. Seeing all of the pictures and how everyone has grown up is pretty fun. I'm sure these guys haven't done a full family shoot in years...sort of like most of us. What a wonderful idea!

This saturday I met up with some friends for their annual holiday portraits. We were hoping to do the shoot at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, however the park was closed. So we made a spontaneous decision to do the shoot in Hoboken, using building textures and colors as our inspiration. In the end, I think it was meant to be. I am so in love with everything about this shoot. Yay!

Last week I photographed this adorable little newborn baby girl, Julia. We think she may have been having a growth spurt on the day of her shoot because she was way more interested in eating, than having her newborn pictures taken. However, in between bouts of feasting, we were able to snap these beautiful pictures. Such an angel face baby!

Its always a fun day when I get to photograph animals, and when the animal looks like a walking stuffed animal its like the best day ever. I met up with Charlie and his mom last year for their holiday pictures and this year we decided to switch it up a little by really showing off their neighborhood and the places Charlie hits along his daily walks. Its doesn't hurt to throw in a fun pair of high heels though, right?!

Yesterday afternoon I met up with Erin and Molly for their annual portraits...I love working with these two little ladies. The results are always amazing and they totally brought their "A game" for this shoot. Bottom line is that I'm sorta obsessed :)

I rarely blog an entire shoot in black and white, but something inspired me to go this route for these images. There's something so classic about the overall feel I get when I look at the pictures and I was just curious to see how it would look presented monochromatically. I think I'm in love...plus it doesn't hurt to have an adorable group of kids to photograph!

My last shoot on Saturday was with Gabriella and her family. OMG she is so adorable, right?! I haven't seen her since she was a

I got to see Charlie Keene yesterday morning for his 2 year photo shoot. I didn't think it was possible for him to get any cuter than

Here is my first photo shoot from yesterday morning, back at the arboretum. Luckily for us, the vivid colors overshadowed the gloomy clouds in the sky. These two kids were so sweet and super adorable to work with, I think the pictures really show their personalities and love they have for each other.
