Yesterday was my Connecticut Family Portrait day in Stamford, CT. We were so lucky to have had a break from all of this dreary weather....the entire day was absolutely spectacular. My first shoot of the the morning was with Olivia and her parents. She had lots of adorable outfits and lots of adorable smiles, the perfect combo for a successful portrait session!
Today's family shoot with my very good friend Becky (we've been bestie's since 2nd grade) and her brother and mom. Becky is in town from Colorado and her brother is in from Florida - aka - the perfect excuse for a family photo shoot! We headed down to Lake Mohawk in Sparta, a place that has tons of good memories for everyone. I was so happy that the rain subsided, and we were able to get lots of fun pictures. Enjoy the preview!
Yesterday afternoon I met up with Carson and his parents for his 1 year photo shoot. I can't believe it was almost a year ago to the date that we were doing his newborn session. We started with some outdoor pictures along the Hudson River in Hoboken and then headed back to their place for some birthday cake fun. Here's a little peak in to both portions of our session....
This morning I headed to Brooklyn for a shoot with Avery and her parents. Avery turned one back in January, but her parents decided it would be more fun to wait until the weather began to get warmer so we could do her "one year" shoot outside on the Brooklyn Bridge. We had so much fun together, walking to all the different areas of DUMBO, not only is the location a photographer's dream, but so was she...enjoy!
Last night I headed in to Manhattan for a newborn shoot with an adorable baby boy, Taylor. We had a great time together, and I was so excited to take a shot of him with his 3 year old doggie brother- a fluffy labradoodle. Can you even stand the shot of them together?! Love it!
This afternoon I met up with Cecilia for her 6th month photo shoot at the Carl Schurz Park on the upper east side (such a great spot). The last time I saw Cecilia, she was only a few weeks old...so seeing her again was so much fun. She's gotten so big, sitting up and smiling with dimples. We were worried she would be cranky since she missed her nap today, but I think her first experience with grass was just way too exciting. She couldn't resist laughing and being happy!
Today I met up with an awesome couple who's wedding we shot back in 2008. It was great to see them again, and to meet their adorable baby boy. He was such a happy little guy, posing and rolling over and laughing away. Here's a little peek in to the time we spent together....
This morning I met up with Charlie and Oliver...two ridiculously adorable doggies for a pet photo shoot. Its days like this that I am so grateful I found a career I totally love. I mean, what's better than photographing cute furry animals, little babies and kids + fun adults?! Enjoy the snippet of our morning stroll in Central Park....
Today I met up with Joshua for his very first photo shoot. I would like to refer to this little guy as "Mr. Personality" because when I showed up, he briefly woke up from a nap, and gave me about 10 different amazing facial expressions before peacefully falling back in to a slumber. I totally fell in love with him instantly, and I'm sure you all will too when you see the pictures I chose to display on the blog. Enjoy!
Today I had the opportunity to photograph a super creative and fun couple for maternity photos. They are both musicians and were looking for something unique and different for their portraits, so we chose the Van Vleck gardens for the shoot. I figured, with all this rain we've been getting...the flowers must be blooming and the grass has got to be bright green. We were not disappointed at all by the grounds, and we lucked out because for the duration of our shoot, the sun was shining and the light was spectacular. As a result, I'm excited with our results. The other day I met up with Jemma for her first photo shoot. She's only a few weeks old and has the most beautiful big blue eyes (just like her mom). Not only was it fun to meet Jemma, but I also got to visit with her older brother and sister (twins!), whom I have been photographing since they were newborns. Its really something special to watch my client's families expand and grow, and an honor to be the one photographing these special milestones. Enjoy the preview!
The second half of yesterday was spent with Sarah and Jon, shooting their engagement portraits. These guys are such a cute couple, a perfect balance to each other. The shoot took place in Larchmont, NY at a park that Sarah spent her childhood playing in. It was a place she always dreamed she would one day take her wedding (or engagement) pictures at, and since it had such important meaning... it truly was a magical affair. The day was picture perfect and we were able to get lots of awesome shots. I am so excited for their August wedding at the New York Botanical Gardens....stay tuned for their wedding pictures!
Yesterday I headed to Westchester for a shoot with a very beautiful family. I had met Giuliana, Isabella and Danny back in December for their holiday portraits and at the time their mom was pregnant with Nicholas. She called me a few weeks ago to let me know the baby had been born and she wanted to set up a newborn shoot with Nicholas and his siblings. We decided to keep it simple and soft with whites and bare skin against on a soft cozy bed...the safest option for younger brothers and sister handling an 8 week old baby brother! This afternoon I headed over to my good friends house to photograph their new baby girl, Lexie. I was so excited to take her pictures and to meet her. She just turned 6 weeks old and is super cute. Yesterday afternoon I photographed Ryan and his little sister, Bella for the first time. I had so much fun meeting them and working with them. I really felt like it was Spring since so many flowers were in bloom and the grass was extra green after all the snow and rain we've been having. Between the cute kids and the pretty surroundings, I am loving these shots!
Yesterday I headed down to Hamilton, NJ to visit good friends + to photograph their beautiful twin boys. Its crazy to think that it was over 2 years ago, we were doing their newborn portraits. The park we took pictures at yesterday was super pretty, I was shocked at how many flowers were in bloom (definitely more than up here in Hudson County!). A few months back I met up with this pretty little lady for a Valentine's day boudoir shoot. She wanted to surprise her man with some sexy pictures ( we definitely achieved the goal), and I figured I would share some of the pictures with you. Think of it as incentive for the summer bikini season!
Today I headed in to Manhattan for a newborn shoot with Julien. He was such a a good boy the entire time! When I showed up he was chilling out on the couch in a simple white cloth diaper (loved it!). The moment I took my camera out, he was totally alert - looking in to the camera lens & working it for his big debut. I hope you enjoy the images I selected for the blog, it was super hard to choose.

Today I headed to Hoboken for a photo shoot with Christian- who is only a few weeks old. He was such a rock star, letting us change him so many times without making a peep! Since he was so fabulous to work with, we were able to get lots of different looks. I like to refer to the above image as "a boys best friend" - can you stand the dog posing it up like a little doggie model?!? Love it.
